Born and raised in Canada, Beatrice never imagined her path would lead her to over 27 countries and 2 years abroad. What began as an escape from burnout soon became a mission: to build a meaningful career while embracing the digital nomad journey in Spain and beyond.
From Burnout to the Digital Nomad Journey
Before becoming a remote worker, Beatrice’s days were exhausting, stressful, and unfulfilling:
“I was burned out, started traveling, and loved it so much that I knew I had to find a way to keep going,” she says.
Leaving stability behind was daunting, yet the friendships and community she discovered abroad became her lifeline.
“I had people believing in me when nobody else did,” she shares.“
That support laid the foundation for her freedom-based digital nomad lifestyle.
Facing Fear and Finding Courage
Beatrice faced resistance — not from the road, but from those around her. “The hardest part was the lack of support from family and friends. Everyone thought it was a phase, and I felt very alone at first.”
With persistence, everything changed. After 2.5 years, her loved ones now see her growth and independence.
“Now they’re proud of me,” she smiles. The coliving communities she discovered along the way, including Palma Coliving, became the family she once wished she had.
The Beauty of Connection in the Digital Nomad Journey
What surprised Beatrice most wasn’t the destinations — it was the people. “I expected to meet people, but I didn’t expect to create such strong friendships. Some of the people I’ve met while traveling feel like family.”
This realization became the heart of her mission: helping others step into the digital nomad journey with courage, confidence, and purpose.
Building Her Brand and Freedom-Based Work
Today, Beatrice runs a personal travel brand, creates digital content for international companies, and sells online products that help others design a freedom-based digital nomad lifestyle.
Her message is clear: you can start wherever you are — all you need is courage, Wi-Fi, and a willingness to grow.
Finding Home and Balance at Palma Coliving:
“What I loved most about Palma Coliving was the sense of community,” Beatrice explains. “After feeling out of place in hostels where everyone just wanted to party, Palma Coliving gave me real conversations, genuine friendships, and the balance I’d been craving between work and travel.”

Advice for Future Digital Nomads
For anyone dreaming of starting their digital nomad journey, Beatrice’s advice is simple: don’t wait for the “perfect moment.” “There will never be one. Pick a date, make a rough plan, and figure it out as you go.”
Most importantly, surround yourself with like-minded people. “Colivings are the best place to learn and grow fast — much better than party hostels. You’ll build deep connections that truly last.”
